I've received feedback my profile is too long. It might be but if a woman won't invest five minutes reading it, I doubt she's willing to invest a few decades building, and being rewarded with, a wonderful relationship.

I'm a happy, well adjusted person looking for a lighthearted, playful woman with whom I can spend some time and hopefully the remainder of my life. My lifestyle is dedicated to whatever I put my mind and to whomever I give my heart.

Some of my characteristics include: intensity (an overall drive for excellence), spontaneity (playfulness and not being or becoming an "old fart"), intelligence (useful for thinking of new ways to be playful and spontaneous) and tenderness (knowing when you want to be listened to and/or held without being asked). Overall, I've resigned myself to my destiny of living life as an incurable romantic and being an anomaly to the majority of the male race.

Finally, I believe the way a person treats animals is a very accurate predictor of how they'll treat people. As the movie said: "Must love dogs!"

The "right" woman for me will be someone with a great self-image but little ego, tolerant and understanding but not afraid to speak her mind. Her mission here is finding her "best pal" (defined as still being best friends and lovers when we're 80-plus years old). If she happens to be a nymphomaniac astrophysicist and/or park ranger, Oh Baby!

Characteristics that impress me aren't the external ones normally hyped here. They amount to accepting others as they are, intellect combined with common sense, compassion, strong moral and work ethics, the ability to have fun together over long periods of time, complementary rather than supplementary attributes (to mine) and an ability to share/accept the bad things in our lives as well as the good.

To really ignite our potential, characteristics we should share include: confidence, candor, distaste for boring company, quick wit and a desire for mutual respect at any and all levels of a relationship.

We should agree that parity, drive, intelligence, humor, empathy and mutual acceptance are vital ingredients of a partnership. If my nature of being a caring, sensitive, supportive and nurturing partner is more important than my external factors, we're already on a solid foundation!

Our hopefully common traits of openness, honesty, intelligence, playfulness, loyalty, higher-than-average sex drive and a positive self image will go a long way toward assuring an enduring, fun, vibrant and mutually rewarding relationship.
