I have a dry sense of humor. People often think I'm extremely serious when they first meet me. But I'm actually just very tongue in cheek. I love British comedy. I just got done spending more than 9 years in the Silent Service. I've lived in Italy, vacationed in Germany and Canada, been to the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Singapore, Australia and Japan. Now I'm off to be a pilot in training. Hoping to eventually be a corporate pilot, then test pilot, then astronaut. Sounds crazy but there's several corporations building spacecraft, so you never know. Flying comes naturally to me. The plane is like an extension of my body, I love it. So I expect to go far and have fun doing it.

Flying, kayaking, hiking, astronomy, reading, writing, science, martial arts, history, philosophy, politics, space exploration, archeology, spelunking (caving), art, intelligent conversation of any sort, paintball, sailing, diving. Did I mention flying? Try an aerobatic sailplane.. They rock! Sci fi. If it's really good. Cooking, or trying to cook.

Idols
Anyone who pushes the limits, defies the odds, defends others or what they believe in, has my respect. I admire pioneers and explorers, those who are at the edge of discovery, whether it's discovery of new medicines, technology, lands, planets, ways of helping others or even discovery of themselves. People who are always striving for higher standards and trying to better themselves and those around them for no reward other than the satisfaction of success. People like that are da bomb!
