taken back by the words you speak i had no idea this is how you thought of me and as each word comes out it turns into a arrow that strikes my heart and soul breaking small pieces off in the process i am frozen as each part of me breaks i cant say a word and i just watch you as you smile at me with that cold smile how could i have been so wrong feeling all i did for you how much i adored you how much i wanted you how badly i needed you i didnt ask for anything i only wanted what you would give and now i cant get away fast enough as if you knew just what to say to break me into a bunch of pieces and as the time passes all i can do is think about how you saw me and after all the words are i said i search for answers and you keep smiling that cold smile as you walk out the door and i am left with my thoughts and pieces of my heart and soul on the floor waiting to be picked up
