Amethyst's blog: "My baby"

So we ended up back in the er tonight.... Becky came over, we were looking through wedding dresses and next thing I know Onyx is limping on her paw.... We grab her to look and she popped one of her scabs open.... I call the vet they say to just wrap it, she wouldnt let us... So I took her in, they ended up gluing it back together and told me to keep her confined as much as possible for the next 2 weeks. UGH!!!!! Keeping a 6 month old kitten confined is like keeping candy from a child!!!! luckily they didnt charge me, but they did tell me o get her into the vet tomorrow and get her on an antibiotic incase of infection.... I have 2 choices here, Dont pay my rent, or dont take her.... Or get rid of her.... I DONT KNWO WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i took Onyx in Wednesday night to have her Spay and declawing surgery on thursday. I called about 3 on Thursday and they said she was doing good. I was relieved to hear... They said she was tackling and wrestling her tiger she took with her. Friday morning rolls around and I call to make sure Its still safe to pick her up and they say yea... So i go and get her an bring her home. She was very mellow for the kitty she is.... Now I know the meds were gunna knock her out and stuff but all she did was sleep, barely ate and used the bathroom once..... Casper kept telling me something was wrong.... So this morning I get up, and shes laying in our living room.... I noticed she had really heavy/deep breathing, and you could hear her gargling.... NOT GOOD!!!!!!!! So I called and we rushed her back in this afternoon... The dr looked at her and said it may be a bout of bronchitus.... This could have been caused by many things, cold, stress from her surgerys, what not... So he did a chest x-ray and she was inflamed on the bronchial tubes. He wanted to keep her and did Lasics (i believe which pushes the flud out of her lungs), antibiotics, and anti inflammatories.... I called back around 2 and they wanted me to pick her up about 3 an take her down to the emergency center. We pick her up and he dr had told up that she had gotten worse after we left and wanted to put her on life support if she didnt get better. Well When we picked her up she was a lot perkier than before. So i take her to the er center.... They take her in for the evening and good part of the evening, and I called about 6. They said she was doing great, she was playing with everyone and talkng away. They didnt have to give her any more meds, so they told me I could pick her up after 8 if I wanted. I got there to pick her up about 9 and she was just meowing away and trying to get out of her cage for me to hold her. I get her home, she went straight to her food, curled up in our laps and was being her nromal self. Right now, because of her week the poor kitty is sound asleep right next to me here curled up in an upside down ball. Hopefully She will be fine the rest of the night. Shes been up every so often playing to an extend and rolling around being her self.... Come to find out, what is was, was an allergic reaction to either the anesthsia or the pain meds they had given her after/during her surgery...
