I found the first four paragraphs on really old plaque, finished how I thought it should go. Gave to a really close friend when she went through a really hard time.
I said a prayer for you today,
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart,
Although he spoke no words.
I didn’t ask for wealth or fame,
I knew you wouldn’t mind.
Instead I asked for treasure,
Of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that he be near you,
At the start of each new day.
To shower you with love and blessings,
And friends to share your way.
I know the road that lay ahead,
Might seem rough and long.
But I know you will make it through,
Just hold your head up strong.
He’ll always walk beside you,
And help you through each day.
You just need to believe in him,
And let him lead the way.
