What are you waiting for?

They say that age is "just" a number, if that's true then I'm ONLY 25 now :o) That's how I feel most of the time anyway... Yesterday was my 37th birthday *sigh*... I actually spent two days crying over this birthday, guess I just didn't like the sound of it and to know that 40 is only 3 years away :o( ... Drew, Haley & Eric tried their very best to make me feel better and to let me know that they loved me :o)... They gave me cards, a new bike (yes I like to go bike riding), a new cell phone and a new digital camera... They also took me out to dinner last night :o) I just got a new cell for Christmas but I ended up washing it in the washing machine :o( Yep, that was a DUHHHHHHHH moment!!! Hopefully this one will have better luck as it was my 3rd one that I've gotten in the past year... *PSSSSST* little secret for ya "CELL PHONES AND WATER DON'T MIX!!!!!" One was water damaged from talking while taking a hot bath, another was ruined when it was in my pocket and my daughter decided to swim into the deep end of a pool (she's not the best swimmer) and I had to come to her rescue... Anyway, now that I've sat and rambled basically about nothing you're free to leave :o) Hope y'all had a great "Hump Day"!!!!

Maybe...

Ok, maybe I'll stay... I seem to wander back anyway... :o) Hope y'all are doin' well!

2 Great Ideas...

First Great Idea: Bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. The best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! That would be 11 million less people using our gas. The price of gas would come down. __________________________________________________ Second Great Idea: Bring our troops home from Iraq to guard the border. When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Iraq . Tell him if he wants to come to America then he must serve a tour in the military. Give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it. After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. If they refuse to serve, ship them to Iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. Problem solved. If you think this is a good solution to both the problems, forward it to your friends. I just did.
Seems I'm not around here to much anymore. Things are just so hectic around home right now. The movers will be here this Monday to pack up the house and take our things away to Fort Jackson. In some ways I'm looking forward to the move, it will get me within 6 hours of family and friends. However in other ways I'm scared to death, I HATE driving long distances... AHHHH but 'tis the gypsy lifestyle, some of you know exactly how that goes... At least I don't have to pack everything up myself, I should be thankful for that... Other than getting ready to move not to much else is goin' on around here... Christmas was good as was New Years. I did spend the majority of New Years day in the ER with my daughter though... While at the babysitters on New Years Eve she fractured her ankle, UGH!! Poor kid needs body armor, this is her 4th broken bone and she's only 10 (2 in her right foot, 2 in her right ankle and her pinky)... Guess that's about it for now, I have to get back to the joys of getting our house ready for the movers... Hope everyone is doing well :o)

Twas the night before Christmas

When all through our house

The kids were going crazy

Running all about

Their stockings were hung by the chimney with care

With my  threats of coal being put in them

Screamed through the air

Off to their beds their fun was done

To dream of Santa on his midnight run

Drew with the screw driver

Cursing my mom

For the buying little furballs

Requiring screwdrivers to put batteries

In everyone.

Here in the recliner

I do sit

Wishing I could go to bed

So Santa could get on with it

But no such luck

Just like every year

I'm to play an elf

Like all parents

Far and near...

So now my friends

My story is done

There's work to do

That turns into fun

Presents to be arranged

Around the tree

Excitement growing

Inside of me

Excitement of knowing

How happy they'll be

When they awake on Christmas Morning

And look under the tree...

At last I will say to all with delight

Merry Christmas to all

And to all a good night...

Old man winter that is...

I have to go out tomorrow and buy the kids REAL winter coats, UGH... Poor Eric has NEVER IN HIS LIFE felt cold like this and it's been almost 2 yrs since Haley has been in it...

I know that to some of you this is mild but hell, this is Texas and I'm from Florida... Just not ready for the cold!!

We have BABIES :o)

HA, no not me... Not sure if I mentioned it or not but about 3 1/2 to 4 wks ago I finally caught a cat that had been running around our neighborhood... I had been trying to catch her for awhile, I guess at that moment she was just to cold and hungry to run anymore... I brought her in and she ate and ate and ate... I noticed a little bulge on her belly and thought "UH OH, what have I done!!", LOL...

When she first came in the house she was pretty scared of us, not wanting us to touch her to much... It only took about a week or so for her to realize that we weren't going to hurt her and then she turned into a LOVER!! Always wanting to be in my lap and even wanting the kids to pet her... Oh yeah and her belly kept GROWING and feeling them moved only confirmed she was pregnant...

About two hours ago "KiKi" (that's her name) came out and rooted her way inbetween my laptop and me... She layed down and purred and then fell asleep on my legs... I guess she was there for about 45 minutes to an hour before I wondered why the babies weren't moving. A closer inspection revealed that her hind quarters were wet and that her once very LARGE belly was pretty much GONE... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I jumped up and began to search... My second stop was my closet... I remembered that our other cat had been dying to get up on one of the shelves earlier that morning before I booted her out of the bathroom... Soooooo I began sliding my clothes sideways and SURE ENOUGH right there in Drew's PICTURE BOX (UH OH AGAIN) were three tiny little babies!!!! Ok let's say it all together

"AWWWWWWWWWE"

Not far behind me was momma seeing what was goin' on with her babies... They're adorable but I may have to take the runt away from her, it's just not eating and I'm afraid it will die...

Anyway that's my excitement for the day...

Two more coming home...

For the last few days my heart has once again been hurting... Two more are coming home, this time one will return here to Fort Hood, his funeral is Monday. My husband just stepped down from command of the 720th MP BN so this one hits a little closer to home...

They were both so young, may God bless their families and loved ones. May they both rest in peace, knowing that there are so many who will always be eternally grateful for their sacrifice... They are true heros...
